The SDU DIN Rail DC UPS is a powerful, microprocessor-controlled 24 Vdc uninterruptible power system that combines an industry leading design with a wide operational temperature range and unique installation options. With an input voltage range of 22.5 to 30.0 Vdc, the DC UPS is an ideal solution for protecting critical connected loads from power interruptions.

Back-up power protection in modern industrial applications usually depend on an AC UPS. AC power is converted to DC to charge the UPS batteries, converted back to AC for supply to the equipment, then converted back to DC in the equipment’s power supply. By using the SDU DIN Rail DC UPS, you avoid the inefficiencies of these conversions while maximizing system uptime and reliability.

The SDU DIN Rail DC UPS is designed specifically for use with the popular SDN Series of power supplies. The external battery module is the only one on the market that allows you to seal electronics inside the panel while placing the battery outside the non-ventilated enclosure to maintain safety. Batteries charge automatically when input DC power is applied, and the DC UPS automatically switches to battery backup when power fails. An alarm sound and LED indicator let you know when the self-test feature has determined that the battery needs to be replaced.
